“Faysie Daisy”

This was the first quilt I created by painting and printing my fabrics with procion MX dyes.  I stitched the flowers during my father’s last days with us.  I contemplated how our relationship had changed and altered over the years.  How past offenses no longer held any relevance to our immediate lives.  I recalled how when I was little I hated for him to call me Faysie Daisy and how now I could finally appreciate his sentiment.  One of the reasons I create is to document how I change, grow and alter my perceptions of myself in the world around me.

The shop is operated and run by Faye Hoch.  Faye opened Twin Cities Quilting to offer an alternative to the traditional shops in the Twin Cities.  Her offerings reflect the urban quilter’s taste for more modern and contemporary fabrics.  The collections are brought together with many more traditional offerings to satisfy even the more traditional quilter.  At present, there are approximately 1500 bolts on hand.  The shop also has an exclusive line of patterns.  Our Block of the Month is also one of our patterns.

Faye is an experienced color expert, teacher and all round quilting enthusiast.  She and her staff take the time to get involved with your projects and help find solutions to your fabric, design and creative needs.
