Fresh Cut
Instructor: Pam Elhers
Tuesdays: April 30, May 7, 14, and 21, 2019 6-9pm

Class Description:

Celebrate Spring by stitching up a whimsical floral block from the popular Sue Spargo book Fresh Cuts. Select the block of your choice from Fresh Cuts and learn to customize it with wools, fabrics, embellishments and hand embroidery stitches. This four session class teaches you all the handwork skills needed to create your own embellished block. We will begin with tracing and cutting out the pattern pieces and learn how to achieve an accurate layout on the background fabric. Next we will assemble the blocks and stitch down the elements using a variety of appliqué methods.  Then we will learn some of the beautiful embroidery stitches you will need to embellish your block.

Your instructor for this class is Pam Ehlers who has made nearly all of the blocks in the Fresh Cuts Book.  A few of the blocks are in the store. She will teach you everything that she has learned from working on these blocks and will help you to create your own one of a kind masterpiece.
